Congrats go out this morning to our very own Lairde Guard'n.

At The Ancient Order of Hibernians- St Patricks Day Dinner Dance in Cary NC. on March 6th

Guard'n was named Hibernian of the year.

He was so shocked and so surprised that he was speechless. This alone is a first in the long history that I have known him.

I recieved an award at the St Patricks Day Dinner Dance and was named the Hibernian of the Year for 2009. To say I was shocked would be an understatement.

Even though the award was given to me for putting on the most successful fundraiser in the history of our chapter, I believe the award belongs to someone else.

To all those members of the Clan M'Crack, AoH and SCA and all the Sponsors, Musicians, dancers and Singers. Those that helped set up, push the ticket sales, get donations, cook, run the fishing tournament, provide the tents and set them up, strummed, pounded, banged, fiddled or sang. Those that hussled raffle tickets, burgers, dogs and beer and those that stayed to clean up. The entire event was only successful because of ALL OF YOU.

I feel very humbled to have gotten this award, but I know this award actually belongs to YOU, and you know who you all are.
